AFD Group’s 2022 Results : The Essentials

For its first year of existence in an expanded format, the AFD Group has met its objectives in 2022. With Proparco, its subsidiary dedicated to the private sector, and now Expertise France, France's interministerial technical cooperation entity, which joined on 1 January 2022, the Group signed €12.3 billion in new financing. At the same time, some €9 billion was paid to partners as part of the implementation of funded projects – a historic high for Group disbursements. 

The Group’s activity, which accounts for nearly 30% of France's Official Development Assistance, included more than 1,000 new projects in more than 150 countries and 11 overseas departments and territories, in a year of record levels of investment.
