AFD works to ensure access to quality education for all, especially for girls, from primary school to higher education, and from vocational training to employment. It also finances projects to build and rehabilitate educational facilities.
In 2022, AFD committed €629 million for the educational spectrum and training. Through this financing, 400,000 students, of whom 47% are girls, will be enrolled in primary and middle school and nearly 2 million people will benefit from vocational and technical training.
