The climate is a key focus area for AFD Group’s work. In 2019, AFD continued working towards the objectives set by its new climate strategy (2017-2022), which reflects its aim to help implement the Paris Agreement and achieve long-term, low carbon transitions in developing and emerging countries.
Reporting Climate Bond is based on figures for up to December 31st 2019. That includes asset and liability portfolios, loans outstanding, CO2 impact savings from mitigation projects, descriptions of adaptation projects and the contribution of climate projects to the Sustainable Development Goals.
