The overall objective of the project "Access to employment for NECC graduates in Gaza Strip" (ANGE) is to contribute to reducing poverty in the Gaza strip through increasing youth access to employment through improving their employability. Firstly, the project aims to build the capacity of the youth beneficiaries. It provides young women and men with of paid on-the-job training by placing them on workshops relevant to their competencies. Upon finishing the placement period, the project provides specialized training in business development for beneficiaries to build their projects and ideas. After selection, a number of youth receive a grant and are coached and supported to create their own small business. Secondly, the projects builds the capacities of the Near East Council of Churches Committees (NECC) and its partners by enhancing their interventions towards youth access to employment opportunities in the Gaza market. This three-year project (2017- 2020) was implemented by the Near East Council of Churches Committees (NECC) in partnership with Secours Catholique Caritas France who co-funded it with AFD (Agence Française de Développement).
