Sustainable cities: living better while caring for the environment

AFD promotes and supports the development of sustainable cities. These cities are open to everyone, men and women; they are safe, efficient, and resilient. They ensure equitable access to essential services, to simple, effective modes of transportation, and to jobs, and they reduce the insecurity and vulnerability of their residents to risks including climate change.
