Evaluation of the project Strengthening Strategic Intelligence and Partnership Approaches to Prevent and Control NCDs and Strengthen Regional Health Security in the Caribbean

The intended aim of the Project (CZZ2266) was to improve public health programs that influence morbidity and mortality and improve resilience of populations facing climate change.

The Project was comprised of three main components:

  • Component 1: Health security
  • Component 2: Non-communicable diseases (NCDs)
  • Component 3: Partnership

The successful project, aligned with CARPHA's strategic plan and AFD's priorities, comprehensively addressed critical health issues in the region, supporting public health programs and demonstrating strong elements of continuity and sustainability. Despite its potential long-term impact, achieving objectives will require additional resources and sustained effort, highlighting the significant added value and contribution to regional health security and NCD programs by both the project and AFD.
