In Egypt, AFD Group is committed to renewable energies

AFD Group has been operating in the energy sector in Egypt for almost 10 years, financing renewable energy projects and strengthening the electricity transmission network. AFD Group has already committed a total of 815 million euros in loans to Egypt's energy sector, including 116 million euros granted by Proparco, its private sector subsidiary, for the construction and commissioning of five solar power plants with a total capacity of 225 MW on the Benban solar site.
