AFD and Piriou, advancing oceanographic research in Indonesia
Selected from 12 candidates, French shipbuilder Piriou will design and build two research vessels at its site in Vietnam for Indonesia. The project shows how solidarity-driven investment can address partner countries’ priorities while drawing on the competitiveness of French companies.

In Thiès, Senegal, the train is coming back… and with it, hope for a fresh start
In Thiès, near Dakar, the return of rail service is raising hopes that it could ease congestion in the capital and help spread employment opportunities more evenly. The program, supported by AFD, involves leading French companies, including Alstom and Seter, a subsidiary of SNCF.
