In Lebanon, eating healthy at school to learn better
Published on
In Lebanon’s public schools, the economic crisis is weakening families and increasing the risk of students dropping out.
AFD supports International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) and the Ministry of Public Education in implementing a school canteen program for the most vulnerable students.
By providing cold meals, the program helps improve school retention, academic performance, and children’s health.
It also promotes the socio-economic integration of mothers and supports the local economy through partnerships with small and medium-sized enterprises.
Today, nearly 6,000 students benefit from this program in 13 public schools across Lebanon.
English subtitles are available in the video settings.
