Dimensions of the Just Energy Transition: the french experience

As in other countries, the social and economic impact of the ecological transition is a pressing issue in France. In May 2023, a report titled "The Economic Impact of Climate Action" (also known as the Pisani-Ferry report) was prepared for the French Prime Minister, informing public authorities of the inherent unfairness of the climate transition and the need to finance it
more equitably. This brochure, "Dimensions of the Just Energy Transition," discusses issues that French public authorities, businesses, non-profit organizations and civil society must face today.
This booklet provides an overview of France’s just energy transition and explores how diverse stakeholders at different levels address its underlying challenges. It is not intended to be exhaustive, but rather to serve as an introduction to the diversity of the French experience.
