The Historic Center Regeneration Programme (PRCA) is part of the Tunisian national policy for urban regeneration. It aims to upgrade the historical and traditional districts, which tend to deteriorate. It is mainly Berber urban architectural districts and colonial districts. This program also aims to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of these neighborhoods, in terms of housing, public spaces and infrastructure. The French Development Agency and the Urban Project Finance Initiative (UPFI) are partners in this project and have provided technical assistance and project management support. This mobilization has enabled the project to progress at a steady rate and to benefit from specific expertise.
