In 2024, AFD Group reached a new milestone to align 100% of its operations with the goals of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework – just as it did with the Paris Agreement in 2017. With this decision, AFD Group is stepping up to help meet the global target of halting and reversing biodiversity loss by 2030 and restoring healthy ecosystems by 2050.
In 2024, AFD committed 1.2 billion euros to biodiversity in 165 projects.
