Latin America: at the vanguard of sustainable development
published in January 2024
As countries around the world try to cope with climate change and protect biodiversity, the search is on for new development models and practices. Some are emerging in Latin America, as we can see in a new Atlas that uses data analysis and mapping to explore 17 sustainable development initiatives.
Presented by Olivier Dabène, President of the Political Observatory of Latin America and the Caribbean, the Latin American and Caribbean Atlas features countries and communities across the region that are devising a wide range of solutions, and charting a path towards models that are increasingly sustainable.
