Aligning Climate, nature and Development: a crosscutting ambition for the planet 2025 - 2030 - Summary

This document presents a summary of the crosscutting “Planet” roadmap for the 2025–2030 period.
The new international landscape and the proven links between the climate crisis, the biodiversity crisis, and development pathways require the AFD Group to support—more decisively than ever—a fundamental and rapid transformation of countries’ and economic actors’ development models.
Through this new 2025–2030 roadmap, the Group is raising its level of ambition and continuing to transform its approaches and instruments. The commitments outlined in this document aim to enable the AFD Group to fulfil its mandate in service of climate and nature, within a turbulent context where abrupt disruptions and large-scale transformations—well beyond traditional transition frameworks—are likely to occur.
