The PASAS platform supports contextual analysis and thematic research for a better understanding and improved monitoring of the Sahel and the Lake Chad Basin.

The PASAS platform is used to generate and maximize the use of operational information on the Sahel and the Lake Chad Basin. The research conducted by PASAS aims to inform the strategic and operational decision-making of development stakeholders, as well as the management and coordination of their operations in vulnerable, crisis-prone areas of the Sahel and Lake Chad.

The studies carried out, as well as relevant resources covering topics ranging from governance, resilience and inclusion to security and gender equality, are now available online via a dedicated portal: pasas-minka.fr. The platform aims to capitalize on existing knowledge and to produce complementary analyses, while centralizing the analyses performed by different stakeholders and thus supporting their coordination.

This program is financed by Agence Française de Developpement as part of its Minka Fund, which is focused on peacebuilding. As requested by the G5 Sahel in association with the Sahel Alliance, it is being implemented by a consortium composed of the French Research Institute for Development (IRD) and International Consulting Expertise France (ICE France).
