Alix Vigato is a macroeconomist in the team in charge of assessing country risks in the countries where AFD operates. He is in charge of Cameroon, Mozambique, Tunisia, India, Sri Lanka and Jordan.
Overview
Through its publications as a country risk economist, Alix Vigato contributes to shed light on the economic trajectories of the countries in which AFD operates. These analyses are fed by close monitoring over a long period and anchored in a detailed knowledge of local contexts.
With a Master’s degree in International Economics from Université Paris Dauphine, Alix Vigato began his career at BNP Paribas, where he contributed to the analysis of political and macroeconomic risks in emerging countries. He was also a financial attaché at the French Embassy in Algeria for two years. In 2021, he joined the team in charge of assessing the country risks and sovereign risks of AFD’s countries of intervention.
