The worldwide proliferation of crises and the return of war on Europe’s doorstep threaten peace and security for all. France has set out crisis prevention and management as a priority in its International Solidarity Policy (Act of 2021), complementing its diplomatic and military action. In a fragmented geopolitical environment, France also recognizes the importance of alliances and partnerships.
Faithful to these commitments, AFD Group invests in crisis prevention and response, by mobilizing its three entities (AFD, Expertise France and Proparco), as well as its wide range of financial tools and partnerships. Peace and Resilience Instrument Minka is the main tool for this strategy.
