Research Conversations replay | What are the levers for scaling up Nature-based Solutions in South America?

Latin America is the world’s second most urbanized region, with 81% of its population living in urban areas. Rapid urbanization, combined with weak urban planning policies, is placing increasing pressure on areas of high ecological value that could instead provide part of the solution. Understanding nature-based solutions (NbS), examining the conditions for their implementation, and analysing how they can be integrated into public policies are therefore essential to ensuring the long-term livability of cities. What are the key factors for scaling up and replicating NbS? What mechanisms can help make them effective tools for territorial planning and urban development?
