At the 10-day summit, world leaders, environmentalists, public development banks and members of the business community will discuss issues ranging from climate finance, decarbonization and adaptation, to gender, agriculture and food systems, energy, biodiversity and the world we are leaving for future generations.
The COP 27 seeks to accelerate global climate action through emissions reductions, scaled-up adaptation efforts and enhanced flows of finance for sustainable development. It’s also part of a collective mission to see through the 'just transition' in developed and developing countries alike.
Present at COP27, AFD Group will emphasize the importance of green finance and the role of nature in forging fairer and more resilient modes of development. It will also highlight the threats posed to biodiversity and the climate, and indicate solutions that help build towards a green recovery.
